Have you ever wanted for research to feel more co-owned and vibrant? To know that all those dedicated hours of learning and discovering can in fact be a catalyst for transforming individual and collective realities. Do you think Participatory Action Research sounds intriguing – but no matter how many papers you read you have no idea how to do it? Are you doing a PAR project but want to know whether you’re on the right track?

 

Our conversations with organizational friends and partners have surfaced many of these questions. Questions that are reaching past theory to grasp more concretely how Participatory Action Research works, especially when it’s youth-oriented. The brilliant thing is that there’s not just one answer but many! So we’d like to set up a peer-network to exchange experiences around participatory action research.

 

This space will allow participants to share their experiences, challenges, doubts, questions and stories as well as access a small global support network of practitioners interested in PAR. We’re especially interested in nourishing an environment for youth-led research, young practitioners and grassroots organizations.
